We germinate our Hot pepper seeds at 28-32C in a heated propagator and can obtain 90% germination in 3-4 weeks dependant on variety.
Should you have difficulty germinating Hot Pepper Seeds they can be treated with with GA (Gibberellic Acid - a hormone found naturally in plants)
or potassium nitrate (1%) solution before sowing.

Chocolate Bhut Jolokia
Chocolate Bhut Jolokia seeds, a version of the World’s hottest chilli Capsicum chinense Jacq. Chocolate Bhut Jolokia is thought to be a natural variant of Bhut jolokia. Selected the genuine type in successive generations. The chilli has a pungency level similar to the red/orange Bhut jolokia. The Pungency rating of Chocolate Bhut Jolokia is Extremely hot.

This chilli is known as ‘khorika’ (meaning very thin stick) due to its slender shape. It belongs to Capsicum annuum group. Its hotness is slightly more than Jati and Krishna; but less than Lotabih jolokia. Very much popular among the people of Assam and is frequently used for everyday consumption. Pungency rating of Khorika Jolokia is very hot.

The cultural information should be used as a guide only, I have found a number of different sowing techniques for the same seed from different sources there does not seem to be a standard. With this in mind you should use this website as a guide only, you probably already have a tried and tested way of sowing different seeds. As a rule of thumb the larger the seed size the more cover it requires, and fine seed like Lobelia Begonia etc requires no cover.
